6 Wallpaper Trends for 2021
With all the confusion and mayhem of 2020 in the past, we have cut through all the clutter and have predicted 6 popular trends for wall design for the year of 2021.
TREND 1: SIMPLE DETAILS
With many of us spending a lot more time at home in the last few months, simple design with clean lines and graphics have become a focal point. Many have realised that simpler is more powerful and have chosen to declutter and clear away busier spaces.
To get this look: Black and whites or simple geometric patterns are natural choices, along with larger leafed floral designs.

TREND 2: HANDMAID'S TALE
The last few months have taught us all to slow down and appreciate the finer things in life, such as crafts and art. Attention to detail and taking time to master handmade crafts and items has seen a shift in the individual importance of items over mass production.
To get this look: Wallpaper that looks illustrated and or painted, as well as designs with pottery and ceramics as subject matters.

TREND 3: BEAUTY OF NATURE
Wallpapers that will take centre stage are those that remind us of the beauty of nature as documented by David Attenborough in 'A Life on our Planet'. Scenes that show how precious the earth is such as landscape images, botanicals and bringing nature into our home's and office spaces will reflect this trend.
To get this look: Choose aerial abstract views from above earth, forest and fantastical scenes including all creatures, big and small.
This trend accepts and celebrates imperfections that life's changes bring forth. Change and non-permeance will become more natural and these designs will feel comfortable and rich with meaning and time.
To get this look: Industrial style cracked concrete, paintings that show decay and imperfections looking design in fibers and textures.
TREND 5: DITSY FLORAL
Scenes from the movies of old English Victoria Houses covered in Flowery wallpaper on all walls, in each room are back! These send us back to a simpler time with less technology and life was a lot less frantic.
To get this look: Pretty floral prints, soft pastel flowery prints and oranges and browns.

TREND 6: YELLOW AND GREY- PANTONE'S COLOURS OF THE YEAR 2021
For only the 2nd time in 22 years, Pantone announced these two contrasting colours of the year for 2021. Both these colours represents strength, optimism and fortitude which is very accurate for the growth everyone has had over the last year.
To get this look: Combine these 2 colours that compliment each other perfectly in sharp geometric lines, or collage self portrait styled designs.

Hi Marly, great question! With new innovation and design all our non wallpapers are easy to remove with no damage to your walls – simple wet wallpaper with a damp sponge and the product should peel off in strips. Wipe down walls and you won’t even know there was wallpaper on the walls! As easy as that!
I live in rented property but love all you designs..how easy or difficult is the wallpaper to remove as and when I move out?
